Selected songs from the staged reading

“The PG 13 Blues” is a "minor blues." It is about a ten-year-old who learns what happens when he nags his parents too much about wanting to see a PG13-rated movie.

Hope's skeleton Grandfather dances with delight as Chance sings about falling for a girl he sees on an escalator (literally). “Escalator Lady” is an uplifting blues, which may sound like a contradiction. But it’s only diagonally uplifting. And "escalator music" is far better than the "elevator music" that puts people off on every level.

Chance and Hope discover a Gucci bag full of booty (drug money). They sing “Booty Gucci” with Ulna (a singing dog named after a bone).
